It'S a SmALL, sMaLL fLiGhT

Twinkies, Takis and Corn Nuts. After a whirlwind weekend in Phoenix, I stood in line to board my flight back to Washington, D.C. As soon as I got in line I saw a very familiar D.C. face. My friend Matt and his business partner were on the same flight as me! Matt had moved to Richmond a few years ago to go to grad school and I hadn't seen him in ages. We chatted as we boarded the plane and realized we were only a few aisles away from each other.

Since I had an aisle seat, I asked if the lady in their aisle was willing to switch with me. A few minutes later, we were all sorted out. Three little D.C. Mo's returning home. What made the flight even better was the fact that courtesy of a last minute stop (on their end) to a convenience store, we had a lot of road tripping junk food to eat. Muffins, Mexican chips, trail mix, corn nuts, peach-os etc. After sampling all the goods, we had a lengthy discussion about which of the junk food items would last the longest due to America's awesome chemical preservatives. At first we thought corn nuts, but upon further deliberation we decided on Takis Nitro chips. So if you're ever in a situation where you stumble upon a hoard of junk food after not eating for... who knows how long, go with the Takis. They'll burn a whole in your stomach, but they're probably the safest thing to eat, minus twinkies of course (we all learned that from Wall-E.)
