If you ask Mukarram to rank his favorites cities on this trip, Muchen would be #1, which might surprise you when you realize it is a country that loves their pork and loves their beer. Neither of these national cuisines are things he can have (nor I when it comes to the alcohol.) In our wanderings around Germany I'm not sure he had a substantive meal like he was used to at home. However, the many varieties of pretzels, apple strudels, pastries and potato pancakes made up for them. My heart was content with the spaetzle and pretzels ... a true carb girl at heart.
