FaCeBoOk, FaCeBoOk, On ThE wALL...

...which crazy writer am I of them all? It's indulgent, but I had to. My friend sent me one of those silly requests to take a quiz, you know, the kind that used to be in every 17 magazine growing up and now frequent the home page of Facebook? Well, it was entitled "What Crazy Writer are You?" and since I am a write, I was curious to see what it said.

The magic Facebook mirror on the wall said: Tom Wolfe, and described me as, "Ah, the life of a wall flower. You get to hang out with the most interesting people - radio DJs, hot rodders, hippies, Hell's Angels, Wall Street tycoons, frat boys - and are completely happy putting them into the spotlight. You're completely happy hanging back with your martini and your little notebook, jotting down all your little observations, in sight but out of mind. Sure, everyone at the party knows who you are - but do they know the real you? And, more importantly, if you want to fade into the background, what's with the bright white suit?"

hmm... pretty spot on. Being crazy sounds pretty fantastic to me!

it's so bizarre to think how much we both have changed. i think we are both very happy being "the wallflowers"....happy to give others the spotlight. more reserved....

compare that with our high school selves... HAHA... quite the disparity.

ha ha. I remember your dad saying to me once, "you've calmed down a lot." I think hyperness shouldn't be mistaken for center of attention, though. We're just walking paradoxes! I'm 85% wallflower, 15% in your face.
